The boys and I spent the weekend at the farm house in East Texas. Quite frankly, I NEEDED it.
If you are a mom and work full time in the city, then I'm sure you understand where I am coming from... when you have those weeks where it seems that nothing is going right and life is going 100 miles an hour.
The country life was just a huge breath of fresh air. I'm so very thankful that we have somewhere like that to escape to when needed. Somewhere to let the boys enjoy the outdoors without having to watch their every move in fear of them being kidnapped, robbed or hit by a car going 50 mph.
It's a place to relax and enjoy the things that the Lord Almighty has created for us to enjoy. The beautiful fall colors of the trees... the leaves falling all over the green grass... the way the sun shines through early in the mornings.... the sounds of country living.... the sounds of peace.
